Van needed!!!!

Hi all. We are fund-raising for a used 12-seater van. The van will enable us to transport the children to school without them getting wet. They are currently ferried to school in the tray of a ute (pick-up) without any shelter or protection from the elements. Mr. Brad Davin, one of our child sponsors, has generously contributed US$5,000 but we need at least US$10,000-US$12,000 to purchase a decent used van (as pictured). We are hoping to get at least US$200 from each sponsor to make up the shortfall. However, any amount would be very much appreciated.

Samuel's House is a family-run home for abandoned and orphaned children.

Hannah and Nehamee are Thai pastors with the House of Grace network of churches in Thailand. They started a church in 2002 in a village called Phayakkhaphum Phisai in the Maharsarakham province, North-East Thailand. Prompted by God and seeing the need, Hannah and Nehamee started a grassroots children's home in January 2006 and currently have twelve children in their care.

There are currently 150 million orphans worldwide. Projected statistics estimate that by the year 2015 this figure will increase to 400 million. These children often suffer neglect, poor health and emotional trauma, turning to crime to survive.

At Samuels’s House we are motivated by this need and seek to provide sustainable solutions to this worldwide issue, one child at a time.
