We finally arrived at our destination after a 6 hour bus ride from Bangkok. While somewhat still fresh from the journey, we did not know what to expect as this part of Thailand was new to us. After a few minutes waiting at the local bus depot, we were greeted by the familiar and friendly faces of Alvin and Linda - our long-time friends and co-hosts during our stay.

During our time here, we visited families living in the villages with the pastor and his wife (great couple) and also had the opportunity to share our testimonies with the church and had plenty of memorable times with the children. There is a story behind each face. If you had just met these beautiful children, you would not imagine the painful circumstances which had brought them to Samuel's House. There is one word that describes it – transformation.

Samuel's House is a beautiful marriage of the church in action, meeting both the practical and spiritual needs of the community, and in particular, significantly impacting the lives of twelve amazing children. There is something about the delicious home-grown, home-cooked food and the caring environment. You know this is a place that goes well beyond practical essentials. These kids are greatly loved. We treasured our stay here and would love the opportunity to come back some day!
